Little STARs Books & Brushes

Our newest class combining literature and art! Each class will begin with a literature component featuring a particular genre and focusing on oral language, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension. Kids will complete an art project using the literature read and discussed as their subject.

Projects include directed drawing and painting, crafts, collages, and a variety of other art mediums. 

This week our Little STARs (K-2nd grades) will explore Story Time Painting which combines the art of storytelling with painting. Our focus will include: following directions, oral language, directed painting, reading and listening comprehension. We will listen to a story and complete a directed painting. Although steps are directed, children will still have the opportunity to make their painting unique and their own.

**Please wear clothing that is ok to get paint on or bring a shirt to cover up to protect clothing. 

***There will be 45 minutes of class followed by 15 minutes of play time in our sensory friendly gym.
